My complaint:
I ordered sewing feet from Gracelin on Shopify. I went thru the channels of trying to contact them regarding when the order would arrive. I received a ation of the order on Dec. 4 and was supposed to get a follow-up email when the item shipped. Didn’t happen. Despite 4 emails – all went unanswered. I contacted Shopify yesterday (Jan. 521) and got a reply today that they are a software platform and they don’t interfere in the businesses that they have on the platform, but they would investigate without giving me updates due to privacy issues. I would have to contact PayPal and Visa myself. I followed the protocol to wait 30 days before contacting them. Why contact them? The message as I understood it was, You’re on your own. My message back was that I would recommend that NO ONE shop on their service.
Suggested solution:
They should ensure that the stores adhere to protocols to protect the customer. If they receive a complaint, they should ensure that something is done to rectify it. I would just like my money back. And I won't shop on this site EVER. NEITHER SHOULD ANYONE ELSE. I thought it was a reputable place to shop where vendors could put their shops in a virtual shopping mall. Turns out - they don't really care despite having a process for complaints.
