My complaint:

Sunday 15th we flew to Lanzarote for a week holiday. We checked FCO website and there was no advice to not travel. We checked Ryanair website up until just a few hours before and our flight was still scheduled. Lanzarote announced at midnight that a lockdown was in force so Ryanair must have been aware. The first we knew was a text message from agent regarding the situation but this sent while we were in the air. We are now confined to our hotel and unable to leave except to supermarket, pharmacy or doctor, and that is allowed for just one person so me and my husband cannot go together. Speaking to fellow Brits here who are in the same predicament, the ones with Jet2 were contacted within a few hours of arriving to inform their flights home next week will go ahead as planned. We have received no information from Ryanair and on each occasion when phoning Ryanair help line we have been on hold for over 30 minutes before being cut off.

Suggested solution:

I have colitis and have very little additional medication with me and my husband is recovering from a brain injury and suffers epilepsy and cannot cope with stress and anxiety and has no additional medication available. Just 24 hours after arriving my husbands stress level is causing concern. I would like Some communication from Ryanair regarding our situation.
