My complaint:

Jan 2020 we booked flights for our first large family break 10 people in September including our grandparents before Covid was even heard £1700 they took.
Covid hit all flights cancelled but later pre wave 2 Ryanair begin to fly again – The FCO then declare Spain as restricted all non essential travel not allowed and our villa is cancelled.
I then contact Ryanair who want to charge me a £900 fee and the difference in cost of the new flights a further £1500 even when I didn’t have a date to switch too as no end of FCO restrictions in site.
As one of our grandparents has COPD they were also advised by GP and in writing not to travel and to shield

Later Ryanair waived fees to entice people to continue to book during Covid, but continues to penalise those that booked before we even knew it’s the most disgusting service ever and now they offer nothing our family cant now have another holiday having completely lost the £1700

Suggested solution:

Provide a voucher for the value of the flight and allow us to holiday with them next year or refund
