My complaint:
My mother was moved from a single room into a ward in Ward 14 without my knowledge. At the age of 92, she is unable to use a phone successfully and I was then told that she could be in this ward for up to 40 days and would not be able to see a family member.
Having been called 48hrs prior to this to come to the hospital to sit with my mother as she would likely not make it through the night, I find this scenario unacceptable.
Suggested solution:
My mother should be able to see one member of her family.
