My complaint:
Today, 14121, l needed to collect a prescription from this chemist, having been informed by text the day before that they were ready. This pharmacy has been the subject of many complaints locally due to the length of queues outside the shop. I believe that for the last month they have been short staffed. They have cut their opening hours to 101pm and 36pm (3 hours less), because of this. So all their custom is condensed into a working day 3 hours less than before. So people have to queue. At opening time today, l was one of 20 people waiting outside the shop to collect items. The temperature was minus 2 degrees, and many old folk were amongst those standing in these sub zero temperatures. This cannot be allowed to continue, surely?
Suggested solution:
Publish a local statement saying exactly why the shop hours have been cut, and what they are doing to address the problem. Comments on local social media by people claiming to have family members working in the shop that 'if customers don't like it they can go elsewhere', and 'the customers are so rude that Rowlands staff don't want to work there' are not helpful.
