My complaint:

16/01/2024 we referred a client who took a premises. They have moved in at the end of January along with paying a deposit and 2 months of rent. I was meant to get a referral fee of up to £500. When I questioned this, they have advised that it can take up to 10 weeks, with a minimum of 30 days.

This was not clear when making a referral through their system. They are also now saying it would be in shopping vouchers which was not clear and the terms and conditions were not displayed on their referral system.

In addition, they are saying the name of the referee should be on the tenant’s agreement and that is neither in their terms and conditions, nor is it in their referral portal. They are deliberately making it difficult to claim.

Suggested solution:

They should pay my £500 as agreed.
