Red Lobster complaint: not full pound of crabs just pieces, smaller potatoes, male manager 11/25/24 no help to long time customers. a

My complaint:

I/we and family have been coming to this restaurant for years and today decided not to come back.
with the exception of ALLIE (SP) the managers are poor not ckg on customers not making things right when customers complain. This restaurant is going down hill fast. Popular foods are being cut back to save money yet high prices remain. TODAY I GOT A SNOW CRAB DINNER WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE POUND. IT CONSISTED OF SEVERAL SMALL LEGS ONLY ONE CLUSTER (instead of 2 full clusters at all other seafood restaurants. THE RANCH SALAD DRESSING WAS BAF AND WATERED DOWN AND MADE ME SICK. THIS AFTER TELLING THE WAITRESS AT OTHER VISITS THAT THE DRESSING WAS WATERED DOWN. NOONE DID ANYTHING. MENUES ARE STRICT NOT COMPATIBLE TO PAYING CUSTOMERS REQUEST IN MANY CASES. FOR INSTANCE NOT WANTING FRIED POTATOES WITH CRABS FOOD SERVED COLD MUST BE SENT BACKI FOR HEATING( MANY TIMES LATELY SEVERED STILL FROZEN) NO seasonal decorations or music, dry boring atmosphere. restrooms at 1130 when not even busy was out of paper, fem. bags, wall hand soap no towels. WHEN ORDERING DRINKS THE FROZEN ONES COULD NOT BE MADE BECAUSE THEIR BLENDER WAS BROKEN. NOW I ASK YOU 1 BLENDER IN A RESTURANT AND CANT GET ANOTHER ONE? LAST DRINK WAS SO WEAK I HAD TO SEND IT BACK ALSO.MY FRIENDS AND OTER customers are spreading the word that it is overcharging for bad food lately and portions keep shrinking. (28.00 for a half lb pieces of crabs not even 2 full clusters. male manager would not listen, would not appologize and never offered us a gift card to come back or add missing portion of crabs. better to stick to one speciality improve interaction with customers than to keep changing the menu and raising prices. In general the new manager ALLIE IS GOOD BUT EVEN SHE CANNOT FIGHT CITY HALL WHEN THEY REFUSE TO SATISFY CUSTOMERS AND FORCE US TO GO TO OTHER PLACE DUE TO BAD EXPERIENCES. THE LAST 3 VISITS TO THIS RED LOBSTER WAS HORRIBLE, MGR INDIFFERENT TO OUR COMPLAINTS DIDNT SEEM TO CARE AND WHEN WE LEFT HE DIDNT EVEN ASK US TO COME BACK WHICH WE ARE NOT. 75.00PER VISIT FOR 2 OF US IS TO HIGH TO RETURN TO HALF PORTIONS, POOR WATERED DOWN salad dressings AND SMALLER POTATOES. THATS WHY YOU ARE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS AS THERE ARE MANY OTHER RESTAURANTS IN FREDERICKSBURG THAT ARE OUTSTANDING SUCH AS JIMMIE THE GREEKS ON LAFAYTTE BLVD. IT IS ALWAYS CROWED BUT FAST SERVICE, GOOD HOT FOOD AMPLE PORTIONS AND SMILING FACES. SUN AND SAT MORNINGS LINES MOVE FAST. ONLY ABOUT 2 OR 3 PEOPLE IN RED LOBSTER AT ANY GIVEN TIME. CALL 540-220-6438 IDENTIFY YOURSELF AND I WILL TELL YOU MORE ABOUT BAD EXPERIENCES WITH THIS RESTAURANT IN SPITE OF NEW MANAGER ALLIE TRYING HARD CORPORATE WILL NOT BUDGE TO PLEASE REGULAR CUSTOMERS ANC MY CHURCH FRIED AND ALL OUR FAMILY WILL NO LONGER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT IN SPITE OF OUR TASTE FOR CRABS AND EVEN THE FLOUNDER WAS OVER COOKED THE LAST TIME EVEN OUR DOG WOULD NOT EAT IT. IM SERIOUS. TO FIND OUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING WRONG CALL ME WE EAT OUT ALL THE TIME AND THIS IS BECOMING THE WORST REST. IN TOWN. SORRY BUT WONT GO BACK UNLESS AN ATTEMPT TO CHANGE FOOD AND DRINKS AND MENU BY CORP IS CHANGED. THE MANAGERS ALSO NEED TRAINING REGARDING TALKING WITH CUSTOMERS AND MAKING THEM HAPPY SO THAT THEY WILL RETURN. THEN CUSTOMERS WILL STOP RUMORS ABOUT HOW BAD THE FOOD IS GETTING AT RED LOBSTER ITS A SHAME REALLY WE WILL MISS THE GOOD TIMES BUT CANT PATRONIZE THIS CURRENT SITUATION WITH A MANAGER WHO JUST PLAIN SAYS HE CANNOT DO ANYTHING ITS CORPORATE . BULL!!!

Suggested solution:

STOP CUTTING BACK PORTIONS MAKE SURE WE GET OUR MONEY WORTH OR REDUCE PRICES TO BRING CUSTOMERS IN. FOR INSTANCE A POUND OF CRABS SHOULD BE AT LEAT 2 CLAWS NOT JUST SMALL LEG PIECES WITH ONE BIG LEG ON TOP TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKIE A LOT. STUPID TRY. MAKE SURE CUSTOMERS CAN ORDER WHAT THEY WANT AS SUBSTITUTE SUCH AS BAKED POTATO FOR FRIED. SENIOR CANT EAT THAT. CLEAN RESTROOMS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD MANAGERS WITH CORPORATE POWER TO CHANGE OR MAKE A DECISION SUCH AS REFUND OR GIFT CARD FOR BAD FOOD. I EVEN GOT SICK LAST TIME ON THE WATERED DOWN RANCH DRESSING PERHAPS OLD I DO NOT KNOW BUT I HAD TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT SICK AND NO ONE EVEN HELPED US OUT OR SEEMED TO CARE NEVER EVEN SAW A MANAGER. YET WE WENT BACK. BUT NO MORE. UNLESS IMPROVEMENTS. EVEN SOFT MUSIC OR A TIKSG. OR CHRIST. DECOR WOULD BE NICE VISIT JIMMIE THE GREEKS RESTAURANT ON LAFAYETE BLVD TO SEE WHAT A GOOD RESTAURANT IS. AND THAT IS EVERY DAY AMERI FOOD AND ALL TYPE SERVED HOT, FAST, AFFORDABLE, GOOD PORTIONS AND RESULTS IN LARGE CROWDS EVVERY DAY. THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE FAMILY AND ALWAYS AIM TO PLEASE. LET OUR COMPLAINTS SINK IN OR THIS REST. WILL HAVE TO CLOSE ALSO DUE TO NO CUSTOMERS. VEN SERVERS ARE DISTANT AND UNCARING AND NO GOODBYES COME BACK AGAIN LIKE OTHER RESTAURANTS.
