My complaint:
Hi. I’m really not sure who else to ask so maybe you can help. A couple years back we had an issue (many, actually) with the local Popeye’s restaurant. So many wrong orders, lack of things like cups, advertised food that they never had for weeks straight, etc. But they never answered the phone, so if you had a problem, you couldn’t get through.
We called the cooperate office and were told at least twice (different people) we’d be send a $20 gift card. Never got it. Called again, said wait a couple more weeks. Nothing. Called again and a nasty woman said those two had no authority to say they’d send us a card. She DID, but didn’t bother to. Filed a BBB complaint, the restaurant didn’t even deal with it and it was closed after a very long time.
Went to another location last month (July) and had even more issues. Sent an email about it and was told MANY times by different people we’d get a $20 gift card. Like a fool I believed them this time. Nothing. Told they’d resend it. Nothing. Told they’d escalate the issue. Nothing. Went to the original location (never learn) and had another problem! Main place said the store would be in touch. Nope! Wrote back and said they never did and told they would make sure someone did. Nothing. Now they just ignore all my emails.
Judging by reviews, we’re not the only ones complaining. But whyhow are they allowed to promise a gift card (I have the emails to prove it) but it’s all just a lie? I can’t report to the BB because they just don’t bother answering (you can clearly see that on the BBB site, too). As often as they screwed up the orders, made us wait (forgot about us waiting), etc, and then promise a card, why can they get away with it and still be in business?
Suggested solution:
By actually sending the $20 gift card they promised! They really owe TWO but I'll accept one if I have to. Better than NOTHING that they've given me.
