My complaint:
On Saturday the 3rd of July 2021 we arrived at your site and had booked for 7 nights , on arriving we found our caravan to find it open and no keys were left so had to go to reception to pick them up , Then we had to go back as we couldn’t figure out how to work the tv , thee remote was so old that you had to click on radio to get the tv to come on, Then we unpacked our clothes, well I have stayed in plenty 8 birth caravans and this was the smallest bedroom I have ever stayed in I had to walk sideways by the side of the bed to get in , there was no space to change , then we went to cook dinner to find the baking tray dirty and everything I used I had to wash first considering it was meant to be cleaned properly as COVID is very infectious I was shocked that it wasn’t very clean the carpets were filthy and so were the chairs , the bed sheets had blood stains on them and other stains , after eating we went down to the entertainment to find the queue , was really Long and was told that we could only have 2 hour we understand that limited people could go in but , people were sitting at a table of six on their own saving a seat , we couldn’t find a seat and a few nights we tried to go again but couldn’t, the swimming pool even though was very warm was absolutely filthy, trying to get food was awful as you had to sit at a table before you could order and in the rain was awful as the queue was so long and I can’t stand long as I am disabled , so we asked if we could order a pizza to take back to the caravan as we had seen people walking about with pizza boxes but was told no we couldn’t have take away , so for the whole week I had to cook which in my eyes is not a holiday for me, we ended up leaving Friday morning as we couldn’t stand another night in the most uncomfortable caravan and I think it was supposed to be two bedroom but they have squeezed 3 in there , going back to the restaurant there was no umbrellas outside at the tables to even sit and wait in the rain waiting to get into the venue , I think money should have been invested in these as , if you have to queue then a cover should have least been looked into , and tables and chairs provided outside of the caravan , my mother in law goes to parkdean three to four times a year and she was away the same week as us at your isle of white campsite and had no problems and the entertainment was amazing , nothing like what we could see on one occasion when my partner managed to slip in through the toilets to just have a look said was dreadful, we couldn’t even play pitch and putt as the grass hadn’t been mowed in months so was not suitable for me to walk on , I. Insider us lucky that we booked in December As looking at the same week had trebbled in price and even though I wouldn’t have paid any more than what we paid for for self catering , there should have been eight of us going but two couldn’t come and good job they didn’t as there is no way it would have been big enough, how you expect adults to sleep in those tiny beds I will never no . We were looking forward to our week away as I am one of the clinically vulnerable so have been stuck indoors for the last eighteen months and now we feel like we haven’t had a holiday . We had to spend money on extra bits to make our stay more comfortable and there was no way we could put our six month old grandson on the carpet so we went and bought thick blanket to lay him down on . All in all the worst holiday ever .
Suggested solution:
If we don’t get a satisfactory reply to our complaint then we will take it further we did take photos to show but they are on my partners phone and I can send them on in future.
