My complaint:
Early on the morning of 10062020 we placed an order for curbside pickup at the Auburn, AL store on Opelika Road for a dozen bagels, of which 4 were to be Ribbon Bagels, 2 Blueberry, 1 Asiago, 1 Cinnamon Swirl, 3 Cinnamon Crunch, and 2 Sesame. We paid for them at this time. We requested a pickup at 11:30. We arrived at 11:15 and informed the cafe we were ready for curbside pickup of bagels, honey walnut cream cheese, grilled cheese creamy tomato soup, tuna sandwich ten vegetable soup, one small hazelnut coffee with honey, cinnamon, and milk, and one regular hazelnut coffee. When our order didn’t arrive by 11:45, my wife went into the cafe and spoke with Kristen who said she didn’t have our order, but would fill it and bring it out to our vehicle. (copy of order available if needed). Kristen spoke very condescending to my wife and was rude and demeaning. At 12:00 my wife returned inside and was told our order had been placed on pickup shelve. We received incorrect bagels, for which we had paid, cool coffee prepared incorrectly and one with grounds filling the bottom of the cup. We were told our order of bagels was resold to other customers and was no longer available. We have a gift card with a balance of $57.72, for which we would like cash. This was the final straw. We paid for items which were stolen from us and resold. We could take other items, but not what we paid to get. Todd called and left a message. I returned his call, but it was his day off. Getting nowhere fast.
Suggested solution:
They could close the cafe. They could refund our purchase price of $21.20. They could give us the remaining monies left on our gift card. They could apologize. The could fire Kristen and get someone with better customer relationship skills.
