My complaint:
The official trailer for the first season of a new Netflix show titled Warrior Nun contains the statement FUCKS GIVEN at time marker 2:08 2:36. I complained to Netflix customer services and was told that the statement was permitted under the producer directors’ freedom of artistic license.
I do not feel that the justification provided by Netflix is acceptable and feel that the use of this statement is mindless profanity.
I also asked Netflix Customer Services what the statement FUCKS GIVEN actually meant anyway? and what it meant in the context of the show??, to which they had no idea, and the customer service representative refused to pass me onto a supervisor to raise a complaint.
The statement is brazened in bold letters and it is unacceptable that broadcasters such Nextlix can use mindless graphical profanity in trailers like this, that have absolutely no meaning or relevance to the show being advertised.
Suggested solution:
Netflix to investigate the use of profanity that I have identified in this trailer and remove it.
