My complaint:

I reached out to myus.com to get a quote for a rug I was considering buying from the US to ship to the UK. I have tried multiple times to contact myus.com via different methods since the issues came to light and have not received any response from the initial representative, a Vena, who ed a price for shipping with me.

I provided the dimensions and weight of the package in advance directly form the seller and was provided with an oversized package quote. There were multiple options for shipping methods and the one I ed I would like to ship was the budget economy which was $56.99. The myus representative ed that all I needed to do to select the budget economy method was to sign up with myus, send the package to the myus drop off address and once registered it would appear in my suite where I would be able to select this economical method of shipping. It was very clear my intentions, the quote I had singled out and the instructions to process under this price by Vena, the myus.com representative.

Once the package arrived, the option for budget economy was not offered in the suite and only the faster more expensive quotes we’re available. The quotes were the same but the more economical options were no longer offered. The dimensions and weight of the package were also different from the dimensions ed by the seller and sent to myus.com in advance however this didn’t seem to make a difference on the pricing structure, the slower cheaper options were just removed.

It is not okay to a price with a potential customer to lure them in to an affordable option and then once they have signed up and the package has arrived to double the price!

I spoke to another representative of myus.com in a chat who asked me to pay for assessment of the dimensions and weight for a fee. My complaint is about potentially being scammed by the company in to signing up, I am not going to be paying for an assessment to log the correct dimensions and weight which I already know as they were ed by the seller and it isn’t even relevant as the price bracket is the same. This aside the representative ed the prices were the same for the correct and incorrect dimensions and weight and I feel this was a deflection to the actual issue.

Please can this be resolved as soon as possible. I am not responsible and should not be picking up the tab on a ‘mistake’ on a quote by a myus.com representative. Myus.com are responsible for the quote and shipping methods they are available with potential customers. If budget economy was not available, it should not have been ed to me as being available for my package when the dimensions and weight and all details had been ed and reed in advance of signing up. I literally emailed in advance of every step I made to make sure it was clear I was signing up to ship budget economy and I was assured by a Vena that all I needed to do was sign up, send the package and this option will be available to you.

I did everything right on my side and I have become incredibly concerned about the legitimacy of this company. I have looked at reviews online and can see this exact issues has been raised with myus.com multiple times. I am left wondering, for good reason, if this is an orchestrated attempt to get people to sign up and extract money from people under false advertising and correspondence with myus.com employees.

Please can you honour the quote offered to me and as soon as possible. If this is not resolved to the full degree of the price quoted for the shipment, I will be making formal complaints to regulatory bodies as I believe this may be an organised scam knowingly orchestrated by myus.com and its employees.

If this is also not resolved as soon as possible today I will also be raising aware was via social media and trusted review sites to warn anyone before this is investigated.
