My complaint:

I include bank references, for withdrawals made by your organisation from my personal Mastercard account. I was unaware at all that the initial withdrawal (09122 – NZD205.85) had been made, and only discovered it on noticing the second withdrawal (261222 – NZD350.75) and then querying my bank about that. The bank – WestPac New Zealand, Auckland Branch – then advised me of the first withdrawal.

I acknowledge having investigated your web site and services following a present by a family member, who paid separately and prior, for a DNA sample investigation. I do not acknowledge agreeing to the initial charge of $205.85 although I acknowledge that your posession of my Credit Card No. indicates I supplied the information. This may have been in association with the DNA results. I certainly do not acknowledge that I agreed with your organisation to a continuing annualised suppliercustomer relationship, in any way, at that or any other time.

My recollection of the initial transaction is that it was invitational and complimentary to the DNA transaction with an option to continue on a monthly basis should I add to the initial free information. I therefore assume that you claim some form of ongoing annual contract to have been made and this I consider an entrapment, which process I reject, it not being offered in good faith. Moreover, I note also that you have increased your (presumably) annual fee by 70%, without any explanation, or renewal advice, or acquiesence by myself. Apart from my rejection of your marketing methods I reject such a usurious increase as unjustifiable and unacceptable, indicative and characteristic of numerous scams. I note on that subject, your operation is accused of the behaviour and methods I am complaining of, on several web sites, by a significant number of similarly aggravated complainants.

I therefore request refund of these contrived and unintended payments to your system, to the account from which they were withdrawn. The account is now deactivated for withdrawals, as may be expected, but deposits are still accepted.
