My complaint:

On Wednesday August 3rd 2022 I shopped at Morrisons Dereham. My son picked up a box of Cider that was on offer. I carried on with the rest of my shopping. We placed all items on the ‘belt’ for scanning, the very miserable cashier put everything through, I got home and checked the till roll only to find she had charged us for 2 boxes not one. I immediately tried to telephone the shop, impossible, you get through to a hub, it took almost 20minutes to even find a number, lady then told us we were through to the wrong number and she would transfer us. I was then cut off!! I finally after much searching found a place on their website to complain and ask for my money to be returned to the debit card I paid with. Unbelievably I got a reply the following day thanking me for my praise of the till operative. I complained about Linda, both at the store and in writing. Shows they never read e mails! I also complained about having to wait yet again, for someone to serve me on the fish counter.

It is almost never maned these days, you have to wait for someone to come from Butchery which is on the other side of the store, you waste at least 7 minuets. The following day I telephoned yet again, after explaining the situation and being on the phone for 24.35 minutes, I was told I could have a voucher to the value of the overcharge. Told them that was unacceptable as it was their error which they could as both CCTV is on the alcohol isle as well as at the till. I asked for the name of the supervisor and also the CEO, I was told they are not allowed to give out that information. Ofcourse that is stupid as the CEO is shown on the net. I will never shop at Morrisons again but will go to the store next week and demand my cash back. I have put this on FaceBook and will write to the CEO. Sadly I have to drive 12 miles to get to this store which will cost me petrol money.

Suggested solution:

BY PAYING THE OVERCHARGE BACK TO MY DEBIT CARD. It was their mistake not mine. As far as I am concerned by keeping my money they are committing theft.
