My complaint:
Marshall county correctional facility is the only MDOC prison that does not have fans on canteen. Why? The windows at this facility do not open. They have no air conditioning and only ceiling fans. It was 105 yesterday. I’ve spoken to the superintendent who informed me that they put floor fans on the zone. There are no plug ins on the zone to power the fans so what good does it do? And they brought 1 fan for 65 plus men. Really? Why? We treat animals better than this. I understand this is prison and no one is asking for paradise but these are humans and they at least deserve common courtesy
Suggested solution:
Get them fans on canteen like every other prison. Get them more floor fans and power outlets to power the fans. Get them air conditioning!
