My complaint:
I ordered a meal on 17-Apr-2020 at 8:35 pm which was finally delivered at 10:09 pm, after following up 3 times. The first time when I called at 9:35 pm I was told to contact Talabat again. Upon my insistence they checked and said the meal is In Transit. After another 10 minutes I called again and was told the same story. Finally, at 10 pm I was again given the same story.
When the meal arrived it was cold and the chips were soggy.
I asked the delivery guy and he showed me (at 10:09 pm) that he had picked the meal 12 minutes ago.
I complained on the McDonalds UAE page on Facebook and was told that a Customer Service team would contact me.
It has been 5 days and still there has been no call on this issue.
I understand that McDonalds customer service is terrible when compared to the competition, but didn’t realise it was this bad that they would lie to a customer and then just ignore him when he complains.
Suggested solution:
Someone from their Customer Service team should call and then send an official apology emailletter.
Also, they should reprimand the Customer Service person who took the complaint and initially tried to send me to the delivery service and then outright lied to me.
They have not even replied back on their own FB page.
