My complaint:

Yesterday 3rd April we tried to use a voucher, value £7.50 at the drive thru at Kingsway Rochdale. This voucher was the result of a complaint made in January when the food was not up to the usual standard.
When ordering we explained that we had a voucher and were told that it would be dealt with at the payment window. After sitting in the queue for twenty minutes or so the person there said she would get the manager. The window was closed and she went away. The manager then told us that it was not possible to use the voucher at the drive thru.We would have to go inside and order there. The reason she gave was that she didn’t have a machine to scan it. We left and went across the car park to KFC

Suggested solution:

You provided the voucher. We followed the instructions on it.
I expect that the manager of a company like McDonald's could have taken the voucher and scanned it inside the restaurant
