My complaint:

My Marriott number is 501107108. I should have the Marriott Gold Elite Status, which is part of the benefit of Amex Platinum Business card. I enrolled over two weeks ago and received enrollment ation from Amex 11 days ago. However, my Marriott status was never updated. I have a reservation for 12182022. Could you please update my status as soon as possible? I already forwarded the ation email from Amex using kindsoldier@gmail.com.

I also want to complain about the associate who answered my call. The first agent does not understand what I was talking about and I asked to be transferred to a manager, who finally understood my question, yet all she can do is read the terms that the status update may take up to two weeks. I asked if she could transfer me to the right person who is incharge of status update, she read the terms again and hung up on me. She is so rude!

Furthermore, I have three Amex Platinum business cards and I had enrolled in gold elite status over one year ago. I do not understand why Marriott downgraded my status from Gold to Silver one month or so ago! It should be Gold elite status as long as I am keeping my Amex Platinum Business card! That’s why I enrolled again at the beginning of this month when I made the reservation and noticed it was downgraded.

Update my status to Gold Elite as soon as possible
