My complaint:
I received emails and text from DPD confirning date and time as requested by myself.
I waited until 1300hrs and phoned DPD to be told there was an error because of bank holiday and it would be delivered tomorrow – apologies.
I phoned customer services and was answered by a South African call centre initially offering £5 compensation which is insulting. Then I was told by his colleague it should not have been offered until the delivery was made.
I cancelled the item costing £120. I will receive the refund in next 7-10 days.
How do I get my morning off from work again?
What disappointing customer service.
Suggested solution:
Do not use DPD and find a different courier as they hadn’t informed me. It’s their fault.
