My complaint:
On Saturday 30th April, I ordered a Lyft to take me to the hospital which is approximately 10 minutes away. Several options came up – the most expensive being $31. I thought that was too much to pay so I selected the Wait and save option for $22. To my surprise as I selected the option I got a message saying the driver was approximately 5 minutes away but there was no notification that the fare had in any way changed. On completion of the ride I got a message saying the fare charged was $31. I exchanged a couple of messages with Lyft customer service that evening but they kept insisting that I was quoted $31 in advance of the ride but that just was not the case. My last message to their customer service was to ask how I go about escalating the issue. They are yet to respond.
Suggested solution:
Lyft should refund me the $9 difference in the fare.
