My complaint:
I often take Lyft to work. I have my home, and work addresses saved in the app. The driver wasn’t paying attention to GPS, and missed my exit off the highway. He drove past my job. I explained to him he was going the wrong way, and needed to get off at the next exit immediately, because now we’re going he wrong direction. He told me I was wrong! He told me my job was further up. In explained to him I work at Tufts Medical Center, which is near South Station. Instead of apologizing for missing the exit, he tells me I entered the wrong address. At this point, I am extremely uncomfortable, because I had to BEG him to get off at the next exit, otherwise, he would’ve continued driving the wrong direction..why? I immediately became frightened at his intentions. He finally got off at an exit, after I begged him numerous times. He then pulls over at North Station MBTA, and tells me he is ending the ride, instead of finding the correct directions, since he wasn’t following the GPS. Lyft gives their drivers too much power. The power to bully women, and tell women they put in the wrong address, instead of owning their own mistakes. The audacity of him to pull over, and tell me he is ending my ride, after the error was clearly on his behalf. Not only did he make me late for work, he totally ruined my morning with his bullying antics. Women are not safe riding with Lyft.
Suggested solution:
Refund me, suspend driver.
