My complaint:

(I’m filling out this form on my son’s behalf)

I am very angry at the way my son has been treated.

This has been constant all week, my son’s friend set up an account in his personal details and spent £600 doing so. This wasn’t authorised by my son in any circumstance whatsoever. He was with me in another room at the time, his friend made this account and the payment in my son’s room.

I have reported this to the bank and they are willing to sort this out with Ladbrokes, however, this can’t be identified as a fraud because it’s in my son’s name and personal details are on the made up account. Also it was done in our location. The police and bank can’t file it as that.
My boy is severely disabled and he relies on the money he gets, he has no money in his account now whatsoever, I am outraged that there operations team aren’t willing to do anything about this not even in goodwill.

I think it’s wrong that Ladbrokes, have taken his money, when fully well knowing what has gone on, even the bank doesn’t agree with the actions that have been set out.

We have given Ladbrokes plenty of notice and time, but they have chosen to make things unnecessarily difficult for us.

They won’t give back £600, when it’s rightfully not their money in the first place and they know that. Because they are a big company they think they can get away with it. They mislead customers and take their money with no responsibility taken in account.

Suggested solution:

Trying to get my boy’s funds returned would be appreciated deeply.
