My complaint:
Using self check out. Female employee on Thursday June 26th. told me items were not on sale and she would not call or check to see if I was correct., I then went to management and received the items I was purchasing and was told that I was correct and was able to purchase for the sale price(buy one get one half price soothe eye vial drops) I then continued to self check out and purchased red cherries that were on sale for $2.99 a pound (I has .91 of a pound) . The register charged me $89.00 for the cherries. I again had to deal with the very rude and ignorant female employee that told me to check out and then go to cust service for a refund. Which I told her to just remove the cherries before I paid. She very rudely did it and then charged me for rainer cherries which I didnt notice until I finish paying. I then told her they are not Ranier…easy to see they were pure red cherries. She then told me if i didnt like it to go stand in a 5 person line at Customer Service. Customer service had no one behind the desk. I waited 26 minutes to get a refund and the correct total as Customer service agreed they were red cherries not Ranier and then proceeded to tell me that the rude employee that had been at self check always treats the customer this way. On the way out I spoke through my mask to tell the employee that I had been correct about my total purchase, she then removed her mask-rolled her eyes and quoted that’s your problem….not mind. The store was dirty ,my cart has a pair of used gloves and mask in them when I entered the store. I will not be shopping at Jewel any longer. I then went to aldi’s and Strack and van til to finish my shopping. Which both stores were handing out clean disinfected carts and 6 foot distant between people. Jewels store had arrows to follow but no one was doing and no employee was around like the other stores. Jewel used to be so clean …one of the best stores ever. Now its filthy the fish seafood isle stinks….how sad.
Suggested solution:
you decide. New management maybe. But you should honestly check it out. Employees also just standing in isle talking to each other where you can get around or even shop. Pitiful!!!!!!!!!!!
