IHG Hotels complaint: ridiculous front desk staff

My complaint:

Date: 7/14
Early this evening, After realizing the hotel elevator was not working, I went to the front desk to ask for alternative ways to exit the building. The front desk persons name is Hamid, and pointed toward the stairs and his coworker said we couldn’t exit by using the stairs either. So I went back to Hamid who was on the phone and asked if we could use the employee elevator and was told only the manager had the key to it, i then proceeded to ask if the manager was on property. It was then Hamid seemed to get irritated and gave me an attitude said he’s busy. When I turned my back he said a snarky remark, which I then turned and confronted him. His attitude got worse so I decided to take out my phone and try to record the altercation. Out of nowhere, Hamid slapped my phone out of my hand and became very angry and started to use profanity and racist remarks. I did not engage, but he did not stop, at one point even instigating a fight making remarks of how I’m small and weak and just non stop profanity. At that point I’m pretty worked up but did not engage, because it had all been done at the front desk and the security footage had everything on record. His reasoning for using violence, name calling and just blowing up was because he was busy trying to get in contact with the elevator due to someone was inside. Until that point, I had no knowledge of the reason why the elevator was not working and that definitely doesn’t give anyone justification to act that way. He was too busy to be able to answer my question but could say a snarky remark as I was turning my back?
Now I’m coming down back in my room, I’m waiting for the manager to get in touch. But the interesting thing is, not long after the incident, they checked in a guest in my exact room and I was charged an additional deposit, which seems like quite the coincidence.
This is just unacceptable and sad.
Hopefully we’ll get the correct response from the hotel to not escalate this any further.

This is very serious and I’m waiting for them to come to the table and try to resolve this. I’ve been waiting for the manager for over an hour now.
