My complaint:
HR Block has committed a serious of actions which they have admitted in writing which I will be suing them for.
I used their online tax pro services and was charged twice once from my return and other via personal credit card which they agreed was their fault and have yet to refund.
Secondly the ‘tax pro’ based in India who did my return made another mistake and put me through the transfer program for funds rather than direct deposit directly into my bank. The IRS approved my returns, sent HR Block my funds which they had in their clearing house but HR Block sent my check to a previous address. It has been over 2 months now since I’ve been waiting for my $8K return. I have tried to contact them various times, customer service, even going into an office but they claim nothing they can do.
I have contacted their ‘district manager’ based in India various times to yet hear nothing. Due to the negligence I will be exploring legal options and taking them to court.
Suggested solution:
I have been demanding a phone call from someone based in the US to contact me about this and rectify the situation.
First I want a refund of the additional $205 they incorrectly charged me for my return. Secondly, I want them to rectify and get me MY tax refund money of $8K which they have currently. This is not an IRS issue this is a HR Block issue
