Hollywoodbets complaint: EFT transfer done in error – refusing to refund the full amount

My complaint:

Hi, yesterday my husband mistakenly transferred money as an instant transfer to the FNB hollywood account which he deactivated a month ago instead of our rent. We contacted Hollywood and the lady advised we must contact the bank to assist. We contacted Capitec and we were advised due to it being an instant transfer they cannot recall the transaction.

We went back Hollywood and was advised to send the pop and they will escalate to they treasury department and it could take up to 30 days however we should go to a branch and they will assist. We went to Capitec branch today and was told they cannot assist. They contacted Hollywood and a consultant advised to reactivate the account and do a withdrawal which we did.

We did that and now we told we must use 55% of the deposit in order to withdraw. This was an error so can you expect us to gamble 55% in order to withdraw this is forcing us to gamble to get back our money. What if we lose then we go in debt cos we cannot pay our rent.

Is this what hollywood deos to its customers force them to gamble money they do not have extra so they can benefit!!!!!

Suggested solution:

Allow us to withdraw our money without forcing us to gamble
