My complaint:
To whom it may concern,
My name is Marcus Jarideau. I was recently hired about 3 weeks ago. I was hired as a cook to work the night shift. On July 20th, 2022, I was working the night shift with a coworker by the name of Tynasia Johnson. it was approximately my 5th day on the job. I noticed that Tynasia’s attitude was extremely rude and negative. She was constantly yelling at me and berating me in front of customers. I have witnessed this employee close the store down an hour early just so she could clock out early. One day when I was working, she lied to a customer that came through the drive through. the customer came around 8pm and she told the customer that they couldn’t serve him because the grill was broken, and she even told the customer that I had broken it. Of course, this was a lie, the grill was perfectly fine she just wanted to be able to leave work early. On the night of the 20th the broiler fo the meat was malfunctioning and ripped all the meat into tiny pieces. Ty (Tynasia) began yelling at me and being very disrespectful towards me over not making the sandwiches fast enough. I tried to explain that the broiler is ripping up the meat and there was nothing i could do about it. Ty Continued to yell at me. I could not take her treatment any longer and i Walk away from my position and called the head Manager. Her name is Mrs. Patricia I explained my position to Mrs. Patricia. Mrs. Patricia told me she would investigate my claim and told me to go back to work and finish my shift. I finished my shift that night and I avoided Ty for the rest of the evening. The very next day Mrs. Patricia calls me and tells me that Ty has accused me of asking to see the hair on her vagina. I assured Mrs. Patricia that this was a lie, and I would never say that. Mrs. Patricia then tells me that she is taking me off the schedule for a week until she finishes her investigation. After Mrs. Patricia tells me that, she calls me the very next day and tells me she wants me to come into work that night. I told Mrs. Patricia that it was too soon, and I needed to make sure that all sexual harassment accusations are handled properly, because it is my name freedom and safety on the line. Mrs. Patricia told me to give her a call once I have decided what path I wanted to take. I asked her for time to think. the very next day I sent Mrs. Patricia a text message saying that I would like to return to work and that I would like to put all the negative things in the past. Mrs. Patricia never responded. I called Mrs. Patricia 3 days in a row and never got a response until 7262022. I called Mrs. Patricia and she finally answered and told me that she decided to terminate me. the incident happened on 07202022 and I was terminated on 07262022. I was verbally assaulted at work and falsely accused of sexual harassment. No real investigation was ever done on Mrs. Patricia’s part. I am a victim of wrongful termination and sexual harassment. I didn’t do anything wrong, and I am being terminated. The employee lied on me to hide the fact that she is being rude, disrespectful, and closing the store early every night so she can leave early.
Suggested solution:
I believe that my job should be reinstated with a two dollar raise. I believe my rights were violated and i would like to be compensated for every day of work I was forced to miss under a wrongful and illegal termination. I thank the company in advance for it swift and speedy response to my issue.
