My complaint:
Without seeing where we were it’s very hard to describe so I’ll try my best – I was at the left side of a stop light , the hannaford truck driver was to the left of me (it was a 3 way stop light ) he didn’t have his blinker on so I assumed he was turning left (away from me ) intact he was turning right (towards me ) . So I put my car in reverse to give him some room but had to wait for other cars behind me to do the same – it all happened very quickly – he never hesitated not for one second – he literally gunned the gas basically taking that corner at full speed towards me and my car full of children- I drive a Subaru Impreza so it’s a smaller car – I was staring at the grill of his truck as I almost hit 10 mph in reverse with all the other cars doing the same behind me – my 10 year old was screaming in the back seat , my 17 year old opened the car door and almost jumped out . I am not exaggerating when I say I think this man was intentionally trying to drive over the top of my car ! I have never in my life seen something so unprofessional ! My oldest daughter dropped her coffee all over my entire dash , seat , and shifter which is now damaged from the sugar content – and my 19 year old wouldn’t even allow me to drive to the playground tonight she was absolutely scared out of her mind ! She came home and immediately told her father (my husband) and he is irate ! That driver would’ve driven over my side of the car and taken the life of a mother and wife ! He did end up touching my bumper for a brief second with no damage because I was able to reverse fast enough to avoid him – but it was unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!! The date today is 962021 and the incident was at 2:25pm in lake placid ny 12946 I’m sure you can find the driver that way and you should ! I need someone to stay in contact with me about the resolution to this problem as I think this was the worst thing to see coming at you from a windshield ! A huge 18 wheeler truck grill ! To stress the importance of this event – I was shaking so badly I had to pull over on the side of the road and gather myself my foot was shaking so bad from adrenaline that I couldn’t control it to push the gas – one other red truck behind me did the same – the other car in line didn’t seem phased and drove off – the truck driver started to get out I assume to check on us , from his angle it probably looked like we got hit directly . But I had already started to pull away . Fix this issue now before he kills someone!
