My complaint:
I have been using Grindr for Android since March of 2011. I was even a beta tester for them, which comprised of reporting anything weird, glitchy, spammers, bots, n what not until they established a solid framework. Was never paid, except received full use of their services. (Of which, at the time, really didn’t amount to much. I think you got to access 100 profiles instead of the 50 or so provided)
Anyhow, some 11 years later, I get reported that I am INPERSONATING someone else. I FILED with their REPEALS, which is a joke! Very confusing and confounding. Sent them exactly what they needed to re-establish my account, which was a selfie holding a piece of paper with my email associated with said banned account. I have never used anyone else’s pics but my own on my account, but I still get banned!
How is it a companyapp make a decision that is just the opposite of our judicial system. If someone files a complaint on you, which could be some fake profile themselves, or just an angry troll who decides take take it out on anyone who rejects them, you get NO knowledge of who reported you because of privacy reasons. Well, first of all, aren’t we able to face our accuser in court, but most of all, aren’t we innocent until proven guilty? Not on GRINDR, NO. You account gets shutdown, first, until you can prove who you are when what is filed is an IMPERSONATION APPEAL. Now, after going through what could be the most absurd process and very glitchy one as well. I send my selfie, along with associated email, and still get banned. I don’t get it. No reverb, no recourse, just banned for life. After giving them 11 years of my life.
Suggested solution:
They should reinstate a FULL ACCESS MEMBERSHIP FOR LIFE apologize. I had given them so many suggestions, that were implemented, I might add, and this was my recourse.
