My complaint:

On May 21, 2020 I spoke with representative of Green Dot Bank by the name of Pierre concerning increasing my credit limit by $400. I was told by Pierre they did receive my $400. In addition to the payment I also needed to send a copy of my debit card to verify the $400 payment. At first I refused, but according to Pierre I only needed to send a copy via email showing the last four digits of the card and my name. I sent the requested email with just my name and last four digits of my debit card the same day at 10:33 a.m. I asked if anything else was needed? per Pierre nothing more was needed. I received a call the same day from a young lady with Green Dot Bank stating they received the request for the credit limit increase, but did not receive the email with the photo of my debit card to verify the $400 that was sent prior to. I resent the email at 6:08 p.m. (twice) she placed me on hold, then replied she received it. I asked how long would it take to update my credit limit she replied two business days. Its now May 27, 2020 and my credit limit was not updated or increased. I now being told I need to sign a verification form that was never mentioned by any of the other two reps. I also increased my limit once before and never had to do anything that being asked of my now. They have my $400 and a copy of my debit card, but is refusing to increase my credit limit from $800 to $1200, but they kept my 400 nor did they apply to my card.

Suggested solution:

Simply apply the $400 to my credit limit.
