My complaint:

On Friday, August 30 I went to the Giant Food in Wheaton Maryland and purchase approximately 2 pounds of trout and one and a half pound of cod For dinner that evening. Upon opening my groceries a strong smell came from the cod which was unbearable. I did examine the trout and did not experienced the same scents. So I proceeded to prepare my dinner. After consuming the fish my husband felt ill approximately half an hour to an hour later. I did not experience illness until the following morning which was Saturday, August 21 My husband and I both at that time attempting to recuperate from this food poisoning and on Sunday evening realized my dog fell ill as well and found he consumed the trout as well. After feeling slightly Better I went to the Giant and return this cod. I was made to file a complaint and was refunded $34 approximately and given two coupons for more fish which I found odd because the fish made me sick in the first place. I was instructed that they would file the complaint and do an investigation of the seafood department especially since it was not just one item or two items that were contaminated. As a follow-up to my complaint I now sit in the veterinarians office with my dog deathly ill from the contamination of the fish and costing us almost $2300. Nevertheless this pain and suffering that my husband had to endure during the weekend.

Suggested solution:

I would like to settle this with compensation for the pain that my family is suffering at this time. I am in tears as I watch my beloved pet fight for his life.please help us get back to normal.

The seafood department is terrible in Fort Washington, you can smell the scent of spoiled seafood when you walk in the store, when you complain the staff gets really rude and nasty.
