My complaint:
I am a victim of SIM swap scam. In three hours of it happening and before the transaction being finalized, I notified gate.io of the fraudulent activity and asked them to stop the transaction. They told me to do a KYC to be able to cancel it and if I can’t they will cancel it for me. For 72 very long and anxious hours, I waited and opened two tickets with them and followed up to make sure the order gets canceled. Rest assured, they complete the transaction and tell me ask the recipient to return your coins!!!! Or just report it to the cybercrime department in you state!
Suggested solution:
They should accept they mishandled my case and replace my coins. I did whatever they asked me to, to cancel the order and failed to stop the fraudulent activity happening right in front of their eyes.
