Foodtown complaint: OUT OF STOCK ON SIMPLE ITEMS

My complaint:

I have been shopping at your Foodtown store on Center Street in Deer Park Texas for over 15 years. i have also been a manager of 7 11 stores and worked for MK Housewares route sales ordering house hold items. So I know when someone isnt doing their job correctly. The district manager needs to go take a look at the Deer Park Store before it looses customers. If you would compare sales for that store from last years to this last few months since the new manager has been there I bet the dollar amount is lower. I came in the store the other day and no shopping carts and I needed batteries the dollar ones your store has on the endcap at the registers there is zero dollar batteries. People shop at your store because you have bargains but if there is out of stock bargain items then no need to shop there. Also today I came in again no shopping carts I had to go out in the parking lot and get my own. I came in because I needed super glue.Just simple super glue. There was none in the store. None in the store. None on the endcap and none in the automotive dept. I asked to speak to the manager the cashiers look at me like I am crazy. He’s in the back they shrugged their shoulders and look lost or don’t know what to tell me. The head cashier did seem a little concerned and said she would tell the manager. We will see. I live down the street in some apts and from time to time residents will bring their groceries home in a shopping cart. There have been 8 or 9 at one time. I would tell Gregg the manager you moved to Baytown and he would come in his own truck and pick them up. This manager told me I cannot come get them I don’t have a truck unconcerned. This is my own opinion i never see him working are doing anything around the store I don’t believe his heart is even in that store. You can tell when someone really likes there job and cares I don’t believe the store is his first concern. So I thought I would complain and maybe you could get some dollar batteries and super glue in the store. I apologize for complaining but everytime I go in the store something is wrong and it never used to be anything wrong so someone isnt doing their job.

Order the items that are out. Maybe have the manager and cashiers a little more friendly. There are about 4 cashiers that do not even speak to the customer. Not even hello I am 72 I miss the good ole days customer service. the cashiers would say hello, is this all you need today do you need any ice you know like plus sell. They don;t even say a word even when they hand your receipt. Your lucky if they tell you the total. It would be really nice if the cashiers would be friendly with us customers. Are they really as miserable as they look. I am telling you times are bad and money is tight if we spend our money we would like a litlte customer service. What is wrong with saying hello do you need anything else? instead of us customers feeling like we are not wanted in the store.
