My complaint:

I am a former employee of this location. I was employed from 12/22 to 5/23. My position was cashier. The front end manager, Marilyn’s behavior,from the very beginning was intimidating, authoritarian as well as domineering and commanding. I, along with other cashier’s were reprimanded in front of customers while doing our job. I needed the job and respected Marilyn. Although, her rude, bad mannered behavior became unbearable. Customer’s that witnessed this treatment towards myself were disturbed by her lack of professionalism. I had made a complaint to the store manager, June who spoke with Marilyn’s supervisor. After this complaint was made, Marilyn had spoken with me in the office without another manager present regarding my initial complaint. Marilyn took no accountability placed all blame towards me. I eventually began not doing my shifts was calling out due to her intimidation. In mid to late May of thos year, I had no choice but to leave my position and terminate the job. Even after doing so, Marilyn approached me on the day I was to speak with June regarding my decision. Marilyn was very vocal and loud when asking why I quit. This was done in front of customers. I tried very hard not to engage not answer her questions, yet she persisted in harassing me. At which point, I informed her I was not going to inform her nor entertain her disrespectful attitude towards me. Marilyn had decided to speak very negatively about myself and my decision with other employees. As I am a customer currently, Marilyn proceeds to make me feel extremely uncomfortable while I shop. Marilyn has displayed this behavior in front of customers and customers are very uncomfortable. There has been foul language used by Marilyn to her co workers in general conversations with many repeat customers being aware. I liked my job as a cashier and did well. Yet, during my employment, not once was I spoken to regarding my job performance. I had only received negative feedback. Customers on the other hand, were very pleased and happy with my customer service. Marilyn’s presence in itself is unapproachable as well as antagonistic hostile. Previous current employees are too fearful of reporting her bad disposition for fear of retaliation. I do not have this fear. When I was an employee and currently. I am submitting this report in the hopes Marilyn will be held accountable for her lack of compassion and disrespect towards myself and prior co worker’s. I do hope and trust this issue will be addressed and looked into.

Suggested solution:

By addressing the store manager and assistant manager.
