My complaint:
I earned Rewards shopping at Famous Footwear. I earned 10$ in Customer Rewards to use. I purchased two pairs of shoes yesterday, 41321. I rarely get coupons in the mail, and I had the coupon for 10$ off at home. I returned today to ensure, my rare coupon received, was applied towards this purchase. The manager and Co-Worker stated this was not allowed on an even return. I explained that they could have simply made a return, and re-ring up the purchase with my earned 10$ rewards, and add the 10$ coupon. They then said if i returned the items, I would loseforfeit my 10$ in rewards. I EARNED that 10$ Reward by making some large purchases just a few weeks ago. I then asked them to simply return my entire purchase. They removed my 10$ earned reward, and I walked out with no shoes, and 10$ lost by them not applying my 10$ coupon, and not returning my 10$ in rewards. There is NO Store in the nation that does not accept a valid coupon with receipt (especially if at home, and you return to the store during the valid time frame of the coupon). I purchased on my Discover. They said, it would be like them handing me 10$. I said, no, it would show on my Discover, the purchase 10$ less. Simple. However, I guess in their terms, it is not plausible.
Suggested solution:
Do NOT remove someone's rewards If i earned them, then I should be allowed to use them on a separate purchase if the original purchase was returned. It was MY rewards to use. If someone has a Coupon, then honor it. They are so few and far between, they are a rare commodity. The store should have honored my 10$ coupon, and since they would not, they should have returned my 10$ member rewards to use at a later time. I simply want my 10$ in rewards placed back into my account. Thank you, Deborah
