I am writing in reference to the Family Dollar, address is 13268 Warwick Blvd. Newport News, VA 23602. This incident occurred on December 29, 2020 and I called to report it the day after however I have yet to hear back on the status of it. I was basically kicked out of the store by the store manager Molly, who stated “I want to hurry up and closed down the store and lock up.” Please be advised that this store location does not close until 10:00pm and I was in the store at approximately 9:35pm so I had made it inside the store prior to closing time. I take issue with this because I had items I needed to purchase and don’t appreciate the unprofessional way I was treated, especially by a manager. I can understand her wanting to get home early however she signed on for a job knowing the hours of operation, which need to be honored. I expect someone to address this issue because I can only imagine who else she has done this to. This particular Family Dollar is the closest to me and I don’t feel like I should have to be inconvenienced by going to another location farther out. Especially over someone not wanting to do their job that they were hired to do.
Someone above her needs to contact me so this can be discussed. This is extremely upsetting, especially since me and my family are currently displaced due to a drunk driver running through our home.
