My complaint:

I can not wear a mask due to medical reasons. Many stores in my area ask to wear a mask but also indicate on their entrance door If for reasons anyone is unable it’s not mandatory. BTW masks are a suggestion not a law. Ironically I walked thru the entire store shopping getting what I needed for 20 plus minutes and nothing was said, even running into a couple employees without them saying a word. I get to the register and was asked if I had a mask. I explained for medical reasons I can’t wear one. I was told I had to leave the store because I need to be wearing a mask. I told them I had been in the store shopping without one with no one saying a word. They told me unless I wore a mask they wouldn’t check me out. I left my stuff on the register walked out and went elsewhere. You lost a good customer.
Because of my personal medical reason, not being able to wear a mask I WAS DISCRIMINATED AGAINST. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE and I will never shop at Family dollar again. I have been to many places INCLUDING WALMART and when I explain I can not wear a mask for medical reasons they wave me through, saying oh ok, thank you.
This mask wearing is a suggestion not a law…….I WILL NO LONGER BE SHOPPING AT ANY FAMILY DOLLAR STORE. I would rather drive further going somewhere else that are respectful of individuals that are allowed to shop without discrimination. I dont care if people wear masks that’s their decision but since I can’t you are wrong in making me. I AM DONE WITH FAMILY DOLLAR

Suggested solution:

Remember masks are a suggestion and NOT A LAW. Allow individuals to shop. STOP DISCRIMINATING AGAINST THOSE WHO CAN’T.
