My complaint:
I shop in there almost daily and have for years. I understand they have had trouble getting good staff in there. But In the last week I have purchased grape juice one of the few pleasures I can have as a Diabetic and they were dated 04022020 and the first was 080120 -the second was my fault I misread the label- but it should not have been there. I buy hotdogs and one package I found towards the bac k of the shelf behind the more expensive was dated aug 27, 2020. Granted it was to feed my Raccoons, but had I not paid attention and fed it to y family we could have been very sick. I boy air popped gluten free popcorn and the last three bags were out of date, I ate them anyway seeing as they smelled ok but the 4th bag smelled like old fryer grease and it stunk up my entire house. It was dated 19 June 2020. Lastly I bought some Tostitos scoops and they were dated 14 July 2020. Give me one day I could have the outdated pulled and rotate the product correctly- this is straight laziness and not giving a flip about their job or people. If the pay was higher I would apply and tackle that FIRST. I can go there right now and get pics for you of the outdated foods if you need. If this is not addressed I guess the health department needs to be notified. What if that was your granny’s buying the hotdogs and she cannot see well so she ate them and got food poisoning?
Suggested solution:
rotate stock properly check daily for outdated food. Do not allow them to lazy employees. Make the manager do her job! I give it a week and if it is still the same I will report it to the health department. I am not trying to be hateful, I am trying to prevent someone from getting sick- it is bad enough I paid full price for outdated- oh btw they have a shopping cart at the front of the store reduced price but all outdated. That is not mentioned it is just reduced price
