My complaint:
On March 12, 2022 I purchased a Tiffany necklace and bracelet from Moss Dap via Facebook Marketplace to be shipped to my sister in Virginia Beach, VA. Seller sent USPS shipping label. On March 14, 2022 I inquired of the seller the anticipated ship date for the aforementioned shipping label. Seller then provider me with a UPS shipping label to California. (not Virginia). I then call the error to the seller’s attention and was provided a shipping label from Hong Kong.
On March 15, 2022, I expressed my concern that this was a scam and fraudulent because the advertised items were in the sellers possession and did not require shipping from Hong Kong. I asked for a refund which the seller agreed to and no shipping had transpired. However, the seller refunded only refunded $159, but Buyer paid $327.81 via PayPal. Seller immediately blocked me preventing further communication without resolving the matter, and never shipped the items. Therefore, I am out of money without receipt of merchandise and the Seller kept $168.81 of my money without providing the goods. This is fraudulent.
I notified Facebook and was informed without explanation that my Paypal Purchase was NOT covered.
Suggested solution:
The Facebook should honor their Protection Plan and ban Seller, Moss Dap. I would like Facebook to reimburse me for the balance owed. Once Facebook made their decision not to reimburse the balance owed to me, I tried to reach them on 2 different occasions to no avail. Facebook didn't respond.
