My complaint:

I was informed about a new rule at Etihad to not allow the bag pack with cabin bag. Only single unit is now allowed; however, huge women purses were allowed with cabin bag. How hypocritical!

I was then asked to put the laptop bag in check-in. It obviously went overweight and was asked to pay for extra luggage (the cost of the ticket). On refusing to do so, I decided to wear 8 jackets (to reduce weight) and carry my laptopkindle in hand (as per the new hypocritical Etihad rule). They then asked me to wrap my yoga mat as even that was refused to be boarded in cabin. After hours of unnecessary torture, I was only checked in 1hour before flight take off time.

In between managing all this and completing layover formalities, I lost my laptopkindle which was in my hand. It wouldn’t be in my hand was I not forced to checkin my backpack. It was a very expensive, recent MacBook Pro a top end Kindle. On asking for help at the final destination (London Heathrow), they refused to intervene.

I refuse to take this unacceptable behavior. I’m ready to file a legal suit if my items are not found or replaced by the airlines.

Thanks

Suggested solution:

Find my items in the same working conditions or replace the items with the same specifications. Extra penalty for mental distress caused.
