My complaint:

For my transit at Addis Ababa, Ethiopian Airlines booked me a night at TOP TEN HOTEL; this was for the night from 12th to 13th December 2021. Once in my room at TOP TEN HOTEL, s staff came to my room to show me the functioning of a couple of things in the shower and, before to go, he proposed me their massage service and I politely said no.
A few minutes after, I went to the restaurant to have my dinner. I was sitting alone in a table of 2, and a man, who introduced himself as Elias, approached me (he came to my table) and we started discussing. After a few minutes, he offered me to do a massage, I said no. He even insisted to have my room number and I said no and went back to my room. Since there were still no internet in my room, I called the reception and they sent a staff to my room to fix it.
Once in my room, the staff told me that the internet problem is at the level of the provider and that he can help me by giving me internet overnight against $30 USD. Which directly sounded like a scam to me. After discussion, he wanted to give me a hug before to leave my room, I refused, he tried again (3 or 4 times) while he was holding tightly my wrists until I felt pain; I was keeping pushing him and asking him to stop it, while he was talking about the massage (sex). After strong resistance on my part, he stopped and left my room. I immediately called the reception and it did not go through. Finally I decided to keep it for me until the next day because I had the feeling that this was organized as they sent a male staff to my room to fix the internet problem while they knew this was not possible; I felt unsecured in that hotel.
The next day, I reported this to the supervisor a
of the staff who physically assaulted me and confronted the guy. This lather denied saying that he was just asking a friendly hug. His supervisor just apologized. Some female travellers who slept on that hotel the same night and who were listening my conversation with the supervisor, later said that they were also approached by some male staff for a massage and said they felt harassed. Another lady told me that she was asked $50 USD for internet the same night.
After telling this story around me, many people reported that TOP TEN HOTEL never has internet, and that not all the rooms have hot water.

Suggested solution:

For the security and comfort of their clients, Ethiopian Airlines must stop sending their clients in transit to TOP TEN HOTEL. I was about to be raped in that hotel during my transit! They should take this matter seriously.
