My complaint:

Solar panels were installed October 2019, just before Halloween. The end of January, right before the first loan payment was due, we finally passed the Fire Inspection. The papers that were filed with the county for the inspection had the incorrect number of panels, they filed 47. The contract to date says 47 panels. Originally only 45 were installed because it was all that would fit. Something like 8 or 9 panels had to be removed after being installed because we kept failing the fire inspection due to have to allow 3 feet from the edge all around. The updated paperwork has still not been filed with the county which Duke Energy also needs to do the interconnection and I’ve been asking for my records. I’ve been paying the loan payment and Duke energy payments the last couple months. I call the office at least 3 times a week, some days multiple times a day and keep getting the run around. They were supposed to reimburse me for the panels that were never put on the house, as well as, the panels that were removed. They’ve been saying since January that check is in the mail. I told them that they should be able to track the so called check and see if it was cashed, who, when, etc.

Suggested solution:

I want to be reimbursed for the panels that are not on the house. I want updated paperwork. I want the interconnection with Duke done and I want all the panels up and running. The reason I got these panels was because my husband is older and his social security is not enough to pay for mortgage and other bills. His work is cutting him back and I cannot afford to pay high electric bill. Now I\'m paying the high electric bill and loan payment.
