My complaint:

My complaint is that back on August 25th 2023 I ordered a blindshell classic cellphone that was made for blind people.On September 4th 2023 I took it to t-mobile to try and get service on it and was told that the phone wasn’t working and couldn’t receive calls texts or anything it was supposed to do. It was sold to me by Alfonzo Passmo. I messaged him asking for a refund and he said he wouldn’t do the refund because the phone works with t-mobile prepaid cards and wouldn’t give a refund. He said nothing about that in the phone description. Also ebay said that they offer a money back guarantee. Then I put a dispute with my bank. And the first dispute was turned down because I was never told they wanted me to send that man the phone back. I told them I would send the phone back and then they wanted me to call them with the tracking information. I contacted ebay and the lady I talked to said after the seller the phone back ebay would give me a refund for the phone. The seller got the phone back on September 22, 2023. When I got home from work after 5pm . I called ebay and gave them the tracking number so they would nlknow he got his phone back. The man I spoke to said he was giving me the refund and I should have it in 7-10 business days. Then I got an email and it said something about the seller not giving the refund. Which wasn’t what I was asking in the first place. Then I called ebay and talked to a supervisor and he told me the request for ebay wasn’t put in instead someone put a request for the seller to give to refund. Then it got said they were putting in the refund from ebay. He told me they were putting in a request for a refund that has to go through some back office. And would take another 7-10 business days. On Oct 24tth when my last business day was up and still haven’t received the refund I contacted ebay again. Then was told my request was declined and they didn’t have a reason listed why. Then I was told the department that processed the request doesn’t take phone calls so they couldn’t tell me why they declined my request. I should have never been told by the first two people that I was getting the refund. Ebay is a very dishonest company allowing people to sell non working items. Alfonzo Passmore is a dishonest seller that doesn’t put everything needed about his products in the description. Buying prepaid Sim card and prepaid calling cards arnt going to magically make the phone work. I will never buy anything from ebay ever again and don’t recommend ebay to anybody and think they should order from a different website.

Suggested solution:

They should give me a permanent credit for the cellphone and quit being cheap. And quit telling lies about giving credit in 7-10 business days.
