DoorDash complaint: No refund after a month. Hung up on 3 separate times

My complaint:

I was broken down on the side of the road on July 27, 2025. I had no other choice but to use a DoorDash or to go get me a piece from Home Depot that I purchased and have them bring it to me and pay him a tip for it because I had no other way of getting this piece that was a adapter for a Tesla charger from Home Depot. It was great. The item was delivered afterwards. It wasn’t the correct piece a few hours later I had someone drive me to Home Depot, and the item was returned in which I have both receipt and bank notification for the item being purchased but nothing for a refund almost a month later I called about the refund, which I was never notified about and was told I have to chase down my own money and go through a circle of events to get a refund, which is ridiculous. Typically a refund is back on your account immediately but through DoorDash you have to go through steps to get this refund. I spoke with the first “customer support agent”. Which was online and was told to upload the picture of the receipt and any kind of paperwork in regards to the refund. The app did not work. I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max what’s the quality of pictures are perfect but the Doordash app would not accept it and said the resolution was not acceptable Which is unbelievable and I don’t believe it at all. Two separate times I asked the agent to wait less than six seconds to get the receipt and have it uploaded and it was like speaking to an alien then they disconnected me two times after 60 seconds of waiting unbelievable and completely unprofessional. None of this worked I finally called and spoke to the first representative and told the entire story with all the evidence showing the refund. I spoke very clearly and asked not to have it refunded to the account it was purchased from because that card debit card did not exist anymore, and I had a new one. She immediately refunded it back to that account. All I asked for was a DoorDash credit and I was good to go very very simple after this person arguing with me which is completely unacceptable. She hung up after me asking for a supervisor or someone I could speak more clearly so I don’t have to keep saying it over and over again I’m chasing down my own money. The second person I spoke with was just as rude and all I asked was to please have the refund canceled and place it on my Doordash account as Credit. This is very clear instructions on what Doordash needs to do with my money. In fact, the complete opposite happened and was made to feel like I was wrong and I don’t understand why at the beginning of these calls. It says they are recorded for training purposes Blah Blah. I don’t believe a bit of it after this I still have not received a refund after almost 30 days of $84 this is not just $15 and it wasn’t just for food. This isn’t all around bad customer experience. This is not the first my wife is actually Filipino and the customer service agents were both Filipino as well. There isn’t any reason for them to be this rude and not to listen to the customer that pays for their service again? I am a pain customer monthly for service that is so rude and un ethical and unprofessional. I’m so pissed off. I want to get my wife and go fly to the Philippines just to see these people in person because I’m so upset again this is my money after about then I’m breaking down. I use their services that I pay for monthly but yet I was treatedlike a piece of garbage. I’ve never been treated so bad in my 46 years on this earth now this has been three or four days I’ve seen no emails. I’ve seen no refunds. I have heard no contacts. I checked the app and nothing what is going on? I’m escalating this as far as I can go. My company is in fact in business with Doordash so I’m trying to get from the bottom all the way to the top and at least get my money back and have these four individuals reprimanded are fired. I haven’t experienced such bad behavior from an adult customer support agent that is dealing with my money so now I’m canceling my account. I’m telling my bank I want a refund. I don’t care if Doordash give it to me or not. I will keep all of the money, Doordash doesn’t deserve my service or anybody else’s at this point Doordash is nothing but a floormat for a better company to come in and put them out of business just my formal complaint. I get Doordash so I could escalate if I wanted to take it to court or criminally for larceny and defamation.

Suggested solution:

According to the representatives were that answered my phone calls and the online chat have been reprimanded or fired because of the lack of professionalism and empathy for a pain customer and I’m on a credit on my account plus I want my refund after this malicious unprofessional unethical way of dealing with a customer chasing down their own money. This was the worst experience in my 46 years, trying to get a refund that I pay for after having a bad experience so a bad experience snowballed after me trying to get a simple refund or credit to my account I wasn’t listening to. I was over. Talked and interrupted multiple times and then hung up on
