My complaint:
I had a scheduled dash in a ‘very busy’ location tonight, Friday, from 5PM – 830PM. The app showed the area as busy, but i sat for an hour and a half w/o one order. I tried working with the dasher support, they gave the standard ‘restart, your phone, sign out of the app and sign back in, check your wifi’. I did all of this three times. I finally got an order that was actually 2 orders to different locations. One order was ready, the other took another 15 minutes. The place was busy. I tesed supoportm they said they would call the restaurant, i told them they aren’t answering the phone! The agent comes back and (big surprise!) they didn’t answer. I ended up having to wait for the 2nd order. After that, all of a sudden I’m no longer on ‘hourly pay’ and I am getting orders for $2.75! I contact support again. They tell me to schedule a new dash, end my current dash, then choose hourly. I did that. Then I waited a long time for another order in a location that is still showing actively busy. I get a $7 order takes me 15 minutes away. After that, I go back to the next ‘hot spot’. I get an order that takes me 25 minutes away from my location-clear across town. I deliver it and head back to my next busy spot and all of a sudden my hourly rate goes from $12.75 to $11.25! I finally pause my dash and contact support. The agent who responds Agent Hagimit dooes nothing..literally stops communicating and blocks my questions from being sent! I was orginally dashing from 5PM – 8:30PM, I extended my hours to try to make money. After about 30 minutes of dead air from agent Hagimit I just went home. I am sending this to DoorDash Essentials. LLC in California and am actively looking for all additional means of reporting this experience-other than the utterly useless 800 Dasher Support line.

I want to know why I was blocked from getting orders, why I went fro m hourly to pay per offer, then when I switched back to my normal $12.75 hourly rate it was suddently dropped to $11.25. (When I finally gave up tonight, I looked at what dashes I had scheduled. Surprise, now the hourly rate for my areas shows $13.50!
