Dominos Pizza complaint: No recovery from bad service

My complaint:

Frequent customer here. This store is usually great. Tonight, a computer glitch resulted in my order not even being in the oven by the time it should have been ready. I understand things happen.

But the trail of incompetent employees (including the inexperienced manager) who couldn’twouldn’t help is so sad it’s almost comical. It’s a great story over a few beers one day.

It took 45 minutes for my order to be ready, and it would have been longer if I hadn’t forced the issue by finally getting one employee to help me learn the status of my order. That was about 25 minutes after I’d placed my order. Finally, an answer: “It’s in the computer but it’s not in the oven yet.” I almost asked if they needed me to take it from there.

Manager said it was store policy to not offer discounts. Apparently, it’s also store policy not to apologize to customers for poor service.

Suggested solution:

I suggested they discount my order since the service was so bad. Any decent place would have done that — or provided it for free — with an apology. I got neither.

Is that how Dominos wants it to be? If so I’ll take my business away and take at least 10 other customers with me.
