My complaint:
The store in Headland, AL was just updated to now being a Dollar Gen. Market. They put in about 6 self check outs. Most of the time I would prefer to have the employee check me out. This is the second time since the update of the store that I’ve checked myself out. This last time there was an employee there, but he was standing in the door of the office talking to a manager. The light on the one register for them to check customers out wasn’t on, so I checked myself out. I went over to where they were told the manager how I felt about the situation and asked her if they were going to just self check out and she told me pretty much. She didn’t even act like she was sorry about it. I have another Dollar Gen. that’s about the same distance from my house as the one I was in and I never have a problem at that one. I use them because there are certain things I like to get there and also because it’s convenient. If this type of behavior continues, I will stop using them. I know I’m just 1 person, but if enough would complain maybe they would change there ways and appreciate the customer instead of acting like they don’t care.
Suggested solution:
This can be resolved by making sure the employees understand how to treat customers and that is being nice.
