My complaint:
I went to Dollar General to pick up some Halloween candy and a Swiffer Wet Jet. Got my shopping done and went to checkout. There was a man in front of me and the register said to use the self checkout. He scanned his things and it told him he needed customer service and some sort of bell rang. We waited and waited, at least20 invites and no one came. Another lady in line went to the card section and told a women she had customers waiting she acknowledged that she knew and kept straightening the cards. I turned the alarm that was on the regular checkout around and it is very loud. She still never looked up. I left Dollar General and sent to Family Dollar where I was greeted as I went into the store ad a real person checked me out! You have now lost another customer I have heard from numerous people say they quit going to General Dollar because of the self checkout. Can’t get anyone to wait on you
Suggested solution:
Make sure someone is always available to check people out if they don’t want or don’t no how to use a self check out. Every time I use it I have to have customer service come over.
