My complaint:
Dish Network has prices advertised on their site for $64.99 for the top 120 package. Since Orby just went out of business I thought I would get all my equipment set up and call to get the deal. They offer a $5 deduction for auto pay and a $12.00 deduction for no local channels. I was expecting a bill around $47.99 plus taxes. When I called I was told I must lease their equipment and have an installer come to my home. Since I already have equipment I told them I didn’t need any equipment. I was told that I must lease the equipment or I could not get that deal. Since dish does not have to pay an installer in my case I argued that I should not only get the deal but a discount as well. It turned out that they quoted me a $99.00 monthly fee, twice as much as their ad.
Suggested solution:
Dish should give me what they advertise on their site. This is no doubt false advertising or scandolou8s business practice at the very least. My bill should be $64.99 minus the deductions mentioned above.
