My complaint:

My husband has a DirectExpress card and they keep stealing the money off it and refusing to give it back and yesterday they blocked his account so he can’t take any of his Social Security out of the ATM or use it online to make purchases. I’ve called him several times and I’ve got nowhere. I’ve called Social Security. I got nowhere. I called the bank that they work with. I got nowhere every single person keeps sending me back to DirectExpress and they don’t help. Can you help

Suggested solution:

Unlock my husbands card and do some thing with DirectExpress because the rip offs they steal from the Social Security benefits and they never give you back the money when you make a complaint and tell them you didn’t make those charges

I absolutely hate Direct Express. I made a complaint with Comerica and the Dept of Treasury. The next day my card was locked, no access to pay my bills. An advocate for Direct Express emailed me that if I wanted access I had to call her. I didn’t even know it was locked. Wouldn’t you know it was worse trying to speak with her. 7 days to speak to someone. Now I had to provide verification, pic ID, rental lease, housing voucher, SSA statement.
